What does it take to kill a man?
Daggers and bullets?
Revenge and torture?
The hollow venom of words,
And the stab of brutal sentences.
Wild as tame dogs ,
Free as cadged birds.
Trapped inside paragraphs of pain,
The splattered ink marks as thick as fresh blood.
Humanity at its weakest,
Immortality at its lowest.
The dying stars and fading hope,
The drop dead wishes falling on empty ears.
The prayers of justice replied with irony,
Anger laced with confusion.
Tears of diamonds and jewels of fear,
The reassurance of words that no longer exist .
